Just got home from putting some equipment on top of an elevator at Lowder Il. Elevator guy said corn abt 30%. To wet. Semi after semi in line. Heard on the two way radio, one guy 165-200 bu 27%. Heard of another one, combines stuck, grain carts stuck. That was around Pleasant Plains IL. All the green corn went down here last week when Ike went through.

Lookin' good! Called my old boss down in IL and he's gonna stick me and Miss MN in a combine when we visit IL next month. I'm pretty sure she's as excited as I am!

It's late here too.

Very little corn is out and I saw a guy gett'n beans on my way to work tonight. Some rain would be nice for the dried up pastures but with all the wet corn that is on the ground, don't think rain would help much. Beans round the house look great, most are just now dry'n down.

Hope every one has a quick safe harvest.

They're starting to pick in ernest around here. Yesterday I saw a John Deere and a New Holland in a field just E of New Haven, OH and a something red just N. I'm seeing picked fields here in Dearborn Cty IN.

Here in NY corn is still mostly green and beans are just starting to lose their leaves. Long way to go here.
Silage corn is being cut in earnest.
Ike flattend a lot of the Mycogen silage corn. The grain corn is still standing.

Travelled thru west central Ohio yesterday. Sure is a lot of damaged corn from high winds and Ike. Some fields look like 30% is blown down. Doesn't look good for those guys.
