john deere 60 idle and load problems, idle speed, carb

I have a good running, not many hours john deere 60, but i have just rebuilt the carb and went over the gov. linkage. The problem is that when I give it throttle, sometimes it will cut out onto one cylinder and then go run on 2 cylinders again when it gets to the set throttle point. Same with the clutch, if I give it throttle and it does not cut out, when I push the clutch in, it will cut out until it gets moving. Whatcould the problem be, It idles at 300 rpm with little to no smoke and when you give it throttle there is hardly any smoke. What is a good recommended idle speed? Thanks

What's the condition of the points, condenser, plugs, plug wires, timing? Point gap, plug gap, distributor cap?

Sometimes if the timing is not far enough advanced, it will miss when you bump the throttle.

Yeah, all that stuff is in ok order and timing is set to 5 degrees advance, but when the choke is out, it will not cut out, it will keep chugging on 2 cylinders all the way through the throttle range, it runs good at idle just when you give it throttle it cuts out.
