1466-1468 ?

is it possible to take the diesel v8 out of my IHC gravel truck and install it into my 1466 like the 1468 is, is there an adaptor plate that has to fitted first?

If it is a DV-550 (9 liter) it would theoretically fit but the flywheel would probably be different. You'd be better off if you could put a DT 466 into that 1466. it will be an easier fit and give you a much better tractor. They could give you some more help on the Redpower site, if you dont have it, search it up on Google.

If I recall correctly a 1468 had different frame rails and maybe other parts different from a 1466. Lee

I have seen a IH 1466 with a V8, but I'm not sure how they did.It looked really cool, but it needed a paint job.

i always thought about doing something like that but rework the rear end and put like a 3-18 detroit in one. that would be fun! prolly cost me too much in the long run anyway. i would think your IHC truck motor would fit but you might have to modify the frame rails. might need a smaller flywheel too.
