I flew up here for my Uncles memorial service. He was Korean Vet, interned at the VA cemetary in Sturgis SD on Thursday. A good guy that taught me much, although he wasn't always gentle and sensitive in his approach. Perhaps thought, his direct method was the only way I could learn anything. All prayers are welcome.

Todays sale. JD 4850 MFD $44,000. IHC 806 $5200. Super M TA with F10 loader $4500. IHC 1480 combine, 25 ft header, pickup header and transport $17000. Melrose 216 Spray coup $12,500. 1975 GMC 6500 tandem truck box hoist $13,500. early 70's C60 single axel truck box hoist 38,000 miles $7700. To say that all this stuff was in excellent condition would be an understatement. I have the prices on the tillage and seeding equipment if anyone is interested.
 
Good prices for the drought up there! Did you happen to catch how many hours were on the 1480? Which auction service had the sale?

Thanks Steven. The combine had 4851 hours. It was extensively rebuilt by WPI in Bowman. All the reciepts were there. The sale was by Weishaar. It is dry. There are big cracks in the ground between the shelterbelt trees and the field windbreaks I planted over the last couple of years. Today I am going to count dead trees and get my order into SCS.
 
Sorry to hear about your uncle, I was going to go to the sale with dad, but we had some stuff come up last minute, Sounds like everything went well with the sale tho. maybe it will rain today!

Thanks for the info, that combine was right up there in price, then! I would hope that the engine had been overhauled and maybe even the hydro gone through by now... our 1460 has less hours and has had the engine done and some work on the hydro as well.

Them Weishaars are my relatives - sister married one of them that isn't an auctioneer... :)
 
Damp and Steven. Thanks. My uncle was a great guy. Everyone around here knew him. He was in the Legion, 40&8, Masons, ND Stockmans Assn. ect. He will be missed.

Anyway, I am here till next Sunday. Saturday Weishaar has a auction in Hettinger.I Plan to be there. All sorts of good stuff. 2 JD 750 drills plus trucks and tractors and line of trailers full of stuff you need. Let me know what you want and the price, I will buy it for you. Don't expect bargins. At the Reeder sale I talked to guys from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Idaho and Nebraska. I guess they got more rain than we did.
This morning the fire alarm went off at 2:43. Tonight we are having anouther lightning storm with no rain in sight.
