Where to get Main Bearings for John Deere A?

Hi all,
I'm working on my 1949 John Deere A, I bought a new engine gasket set for it. I will be needing new main bearings on both sides of the crankshaft, the bearings are worn badly on my tractor. Where can I buy new main bearings? What should I expect to pay for them?? I don't have any JD dealer around here, the nearest dealer was about an hour from here, but that dealer closed down a while back. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Andy.

Andy,
Try Don Dufner in Buxton,ND. His # is 701-942-3102.He has a large amount of NOS engine parts and fair prices.

When I restored my "B" a couple years ago, I just called a dealer and had him look up the p/n's and he shipped them to me via UPS to my house. Damn near as cheap as me driving the 40 mile round trip. I just used my credit card number to pay for it all.

Andy,
Go to John Deere's web site, look up part numbers, call NAPA and they can cross the part number.

Call this machine shop in WI at 1-800-666-9129 to see if they have mains for your A. They have some for JD diesels advertised. Hal
