Steering Worm Bearing Removal

On an early Oliver Fleetline 77 Standard with the original worm and sector steering mechanism,
I have pulled out the steering worm and determined the rear bearing and cup were rusted and rough. The front bearing and cup are about 10 inches into the front bolster casting, with a 2-inch hole too small to reach in and feel around. Any ideas on how to get the bearing and cup out and replaced, short of pulling the entire steering sector out to gain access?

I have a service manual as well as the IT shop manual. I'm looking for some practical suggestions from experience on how to solve a problem that is not directly addressed in the service manual.
