ref stabilizer bar

i have a problem i just got a set of stabilizer bars for my ford 600 it calls for a 31 1/2 inch center to center but that is about 1/2 inch to short any suggestion if i turn the brackets under the fenders around then they are to long.

Buck,

I have a 1973 Ford 2000 with just the opposite problem. The holes are about 1/2 inch too long to attach my stuff. I took a cutting torch and eased out that extra 1/2 inch so they fit. I realize that the hole is now a little bit too big for the cat. 1 pins, but I've been doing this for about 10 years with no noticable adverse effects yet.

You might want to burn out the littlest bit of metal in the hole(s) in your stabilizer bars.

Good Luck,

Tom in TN
