Always amazes me that the "remnants" of a hurricane can carry so much water. We got hit by Ivan up here in PA three years ago, flooded everything.

For us it is the first rain since the first week of July over say 0.3 at one time. It was needed here. Close to 5 inches and very little ponding, and that probably be all gone tomorrow. It is going to help on the later beens since they are green yet.

Looks like the beans and corn are about ready to go. It's kinda disheartening when the crop has made it this far and then is ruined or partly ruined right before harvest. Jim

Hey Glennster. Know what you mean. Just south of Pontiac and over 10 inches since Friday. We are on low ground 1/2 mile south of the Vermillion. Doesn't look like much damage yet. Fingers crossed.

That really ain't no fun with the beans there.

J., Sounds about like the same deficit we had. Think we ended up with about 3 inches. Not flooded much at all. Was just steady rain most of the time. I'm quite a ways east of you I think (Medina County).

Ouch!

I"d say you lost a few.

I was hope for a little of that rain but it all went north of us. My beans are filling out good but could use some rain still. I lost a little corn today in the 60 to 70 mph wind. I did not have much go down, just a little. On the way to work tonight there are several corn fields that are just about flat on the ground. Lots of trees down, alot of people still in the dark, few homes and barns tore up. Still no rain out of the deal.

Hope you dry out soon, and good luck.

Dave
