termites!!1 What chemicals to use

Hey guys,
I just found some termintes in the house. Cant afford the exterminator right now( refer to divorce string earlier) I know where they are coming in. Need to drill out plugs on old treatment on patio and pump in the chemical. Since the "good stuff" is no longer available, what is the best chemical I can pick up myself to treat till I can afford a pro.

I've always wondered if Sevin dust would kill a termite colony. I guess it would depends on termites living long enough to track the chemical into the nest.

Dumping a little Sevin dust on the entrance to a ground hive will destroy it in a few minutes, but wasps/hornets are more active than termites.

I have been wondering about my hunting cabin, as it's foundation is close to the soil. I have a 2 1/2 gallon jug of agricultural Lorsban looking for a job! I can't figure out why that will not work, if reduced to the right proportions.
