I just got a 63 IHC Cub LO-Boy. Rebuilt the carb but cant get it to pick up the gas, plugs are dry. Has fire will not even hit on starting fluid. Points, dist, roto are new and is in time, Any suggetions?

Yes, do a compression test, both dry and wet. Low compression, no start. Wet test....and dry...pull all the plugs, open throttle, crank over several times, record compression, do next cylinder. Wet test...same as dry except take a tablespoon or so of oil and pour it into the cylinder, repeat compression, compression goes up, rings, it doesn't come up upper ...head...valves.

Put your hand over the air intake on te carb, and crank it. If high vacuum, the plugs may be fouled. JimN

there are two holes in the bottom of the carb body.gas travels thru these holes to get to the main jet.if they are plugged you wont get it started.if you pull the drain plug out and the carb drains they are open,if not you have to clean them.
