tractor manual and fuel question

I bought a used Kubota M6800 recently -- 2006 model with a front end loader. The original owner did not have the owners manual. Where can I obtain a manual for the tractor and loader?

Is there a rule of thumb for fuel consumption? Ex -- how much diesel fuel will be consumed by the tractor (68 HP) in an hour of bushhogging?

if you google search the horsepower hours per gallon, you can calculate potential fuel usage at full load. For example, a 45 hp tractor that gets 15 hp/hr/gal should use 3 gal/ hr at full load.

Sounds to me like you need to get an owners manual from your Kubota dealer and whats so hard to figure that out as a John Deere place probably wont have one unless he sells Kubota.

fill the fuel tank to a recognisable point, work it, then measure what you put in the tank to the known point, then it won't be theory.

Most 6800s burn about 3.6 gal per hr under moderate to heavy load. Sold about 186 of that tractor during their production and most have gave very good service.
