can anyone awnser my quetion what would be the problem if my ford frontend loader does not lift very much weight ? I"t a preety big tractor gasoline engine. Just don"t lift very much weigt for a big tractor, I also see fluid coming out the top I think I over filled it will that hurt it at all?

If the oil is yellow/cream color drain and change it. Bleed the lines. I have a had to do this with and Austin Western road grader and older loaders. The oil becomes more air than oil and has no compression to it. This should also help it from leaking down when it is in the air.

Mine did the same thing...kept getting worse and worse. Did everything that everyone else recommended...ended up being the spool valve leaking internally. Took it to my local hydraulic shop where they tested it for free

Really would help if you could tell us what model tractor, and what model loader, and if it uses the tractor hydraulics, or it's own crank-run hyd pump and special valves.

What is it you have? How much does it lift?

Folks coming from the city & a riding lawn mower call a Ford 8N a 'big tractor', here where big round bales are commin a 120 hp tractor with a loader on it is sorta small any more! so your decription doesn't help us much. :)

Sometimes the add-on loader is a poor match for the tractor, & they just don't work well together.

Otherwise, the pump or the valves are worn out, or the oil has water or dirt in it, or a poppit valve is cracked, or some such.

I had pump checked it checked good, I had the spool valve rebuilt, replaced filter new fluids but still ford 3400 frontend loader won"t lift very much weight, Can you tell me if maybe it has a air pocket or air in the sysytem will this cause lift problems? Tractor also has a three point hitch in back.

hi to get all the air out i was told to lift the loader as high as it will go with no load on it make sure it is fully extended and i no on me fork lift it got ride of the air another thing they told me to check was take off a line and see how muck flow of oil there is as might be a restritchen some where so poor oil flow meams poor lift have a good day sam
