Easy way to see it is this. Lay your left hand on the front tire and your right hand on the clutch pedal. To do this of course you have to be on the left side. Now look down at the engine. Theres a small flat spot just below the head that should have it hand stamped there. They can be hard to read/see so it may take some careful cleaning to be able to read it. DO NOT get crazy and sand the living day lights out of that area or you will remove the numbers

Don't put much faith in that number as if the engine was ever changed so was that number.
