Let's try this---tell me about your tractors.

I have JD's, Farmalls, Fords and an Allis. I like all old tractors but am partial to my Farmall Super C. (I know that's being a bit judgemental and I hope I'm not hurting the other tractors emotionally but that's the way it is.)

Your turn. Your tractor(s)?

We used to have a 1949 8N that was a one owner tractor from the government. It was used on the grounds at the legislature. The last 10 years it was there, all it did was pull a fertilizer spreader. We bought it 1978 but traded it, unfortunately, because we needed a little more power and a live PTO to run a flail mower. We got a UK MF 135 diesel instead. Still have that and will probably never sell it. That was in about 1980 and only after coming on here a couple years ago did I find out what year it is. It's an early 1965 with muti-power. The first year they were sold in the UK. I found a really good used loader to put on it and also a cab off of an MF 20 industrial. One of these days I have to make some new floor boards for it. The UK floor boards are about 3 inches lower than the US models. I had to alter my 3 pt. a bit to so it wouldn't hit the cab. The 20's must be a little different as well. My neighbor's got a whole mess of old tractors lying around. Sadly most of them aren't running. Mostly Farmall. He still uses an 806 and a 706. One of stripped tractors I saw was an SM, I think. I have 94 Thomas skid steer and an 86 Cat 931B loader with a backhoe. Dave

MF 135 is a nice tractor. I rented one a few summers ago to hog with. Hated to send it back.

I grew up on a Farmall M and a M-H 44. I have three Farmalls and hope to sometime get a M-H 44 or 33.

I have a 50 Ford 8N that is waiting in the wings for wome work to be done on it.

Just got done moving three tractors to a local farm show this weekend. Pull is tomorrow night and my son and I help run the pull. We will pull our Super C. Super H and JD 70, then use the 70 on Saturday to shuttle people from the parking lot. Hoping for good weather.

The 135 is the most reliable machine I have! They are arguably the best tractor ever made for good reason. They work. Dave
