THE LIFT ON THIS TRACTOR WAS WORKING GOOD. TRACTOR WAS STORED FOR 3 MONTHS. LIFT WILL NOT WORK NOW. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO,MAYBE TO GET IT GOING AGAIN. ALSO, I NEED TO KNOW HOW LOOSE OR HOW TIGHT THE BIG SPRING UNDER THE SEAT NEEDS TO BE. THANKS.

Pump might need to be burped.

First.. check that you have oil in the hyd sump ( dipstick, left rear ).. if you got oil, then.. if this is the piston pump, remov ethe top forward plug ont he pump and start cranking tractor over with key off.. when oil bubble sout.. replace plug and then start tractor and see what ya got. You can hit the manual for procedures for adjusting the spring.. but you for sure don't want it loose...

WILL A TIGHT SPRING AFFECT THE LIFT? THE SPRING IS PRETTY LOOSE NOW. I JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT EFFECT THE SPRING HAS ON THE LIFT.

It effects draft control.. if you do alot of plowing.. get it adjusted.. it has no effect on position control. Your manual will tell you all this.. you do have one don't you?
