Whats the opinion on a JD L

Alright boys I have the oppurtunity to purchase this tractor from a relative of mine. What is a fair offer? Its all original with a plow and belt pulley, I just rebuilt the carb and mag and runs good. It also needs tires sooner that later, much sooner actually. It also needs two rear rims and a head gasket. So what is a fair offer?

I have seen the belt pully assemblies alone go for $500 the rims will cost a pretty penny to replace although I think they sell replacement rims that you reuse your centers on. bill m.

This link is to a video of the first time it ran in 5 to 10 years. http://s41.photobucket.com/albums/e251/41JDb/?action=view&current=jd007.flv

That's an LA model. Pretty sure from what little I can see. I thought I saw some on here in good running shape with decent paint for 3-4 thousand ? I'd snatch it up for $1,000 or less. if more I'd have to think harder about it.

Heck no in too deep. She is in a 100 pieces waiting for the engine to be reassembled in my dads barn. I have been way to busy with college, work, buying a house, and about to get married. Ill get to it soon though, I need to finish the engine, fix a hydraulic leak, and sand blast and paint. Ready to come help? lol

Oh yeah? You think that's bad? I left my B in a hundred pieces and I moved to Minnesota and left 'em in IL! Are YOU ready to come help!

lol, yea well maybe Ill work on yours and you can work on mine and when something breaks we can blame it on each other lol.
