Aliis D17 clutch

If your talking about the high, neturl, low that pretty normal and its caused by cold oil. My D-17 does that till its good and warm and even then it will try to pull if its in low. Pretty much the nature of the beast

I remember baling with a D 15 when I was a kid- letting out the foot clutch to engage PTO, had to use foot brake to prevent "creep" even tho hand clutch was in neutral. Believe me, the oil wasn't cold, either.

My D-17 manual shows multiplate wet clutches in the system. These will drag because of the viscous shear of the oil in them. The manual indicates three different fluids recommended for use. I wouild ask AC service department for a recomendation of the thinnest oil. JimN
