I have a 6 cyl cont. in a 1940 Mack.It is an old pumper (Fire dept) it has been rebuilt once before, it runs but needs some time on it,it has 2 spark plugs per cyl,1 on mag,1 on dist.Aluminum block, cast iron head, huge stromburg carb. Any idea what it is worth.

No. But I saw one like it on a stationary fire pump get junked last year. Tried to save it but my timming was off. Cool engine.

That"s one of Continentals dual-ignition engines, used in stuff like fire equipment etc where an ignition failure could cost lives.
I don"t find a listing, but that"s not unusual; my parts catalogs omit a lot of the specialty models.
It"ll definitely have value to the fire truck etc people; alfowners is the only one that comes to mind, but there"s bigmacktrucks.com and probably other Mack sites.
Also post it on aths.org; there"s some fire truck people there. Good luck.
