What would be good price for used 18.4x38 tires?

I need a set of 18.4x38 tires for my tractor. I have located a set on a tractor that is used for parts. They are in very good condition, probably 80% tread. What would be a good price for such tires?

I'd call around and price some new ones and if I could get used ones for half the new price, I'd be satisfied. A local tire man told me last week that tires and tubes were going up a lot. We had to pay 60 dollars for an 18.4-38 tube.

Most used parts go for about half new price.

I would ask the owner what he wants then make an offer somewhere between the two you will both come to an agreement that will make both of you happy. Its called bartering an is an exceptable way of buying things.
