I can tear a combine apart too! This is my TR86, she has 3500 hrs on the clock and desperately needed some attention. Rasp bars totally shot, elephant ears wore badly, wore holes in the rotor covers, infeed plates wore paper thin, just plain wore!

This is our TR97 we got last year. Those tires are a bit pricey. Told they cost $6000 grand each! If you want a combine with capacity right there sits one. Will push an 8rn easily and is prepped for a 12rn. A 30' table isn't much of a load even in 50 bpa beans. Really scared me how much more capacity it has over the TR95 it replaced and over the TR86. Can't even imagine the CR's they make, especially the CR 9090 which is only in Europe. Something like 700 horse!

Why didnt you trade that tr86 off too?? As bad as it was worn. You dont have to put a S pot of money in an old machine like Allen does, unless your married to it.

I'm sure those parts are going to be pricey, but looks to me like a lot, if not most of the cost would be labor if if were done at a dealer and you are furnishing the labor.

Trade it off for what? Another combine that will need the same thing done in a few years. The rest of the machine is in really good shape so I figure it to be cheaper to basically make a brand new machine. Lots of work but worth it.

I work for a dealer in NE Montana. We sold two CR's this year. We keep busy in winter rebuilting the older ones. You can put a lot of money in them and have a good machine for what little they are used. We also work on R62 Gleaners. Neil

Nice machines, don't know much about the new hollands, there just arent any around this area because of no dealer, but have never heard anything negative about them. Buddy ran one quite a few years back on a custom combine crew i think it was like the one you are rebuilding and he said that thing would really eat some acres. They really dont look too bad to work on, once the rotars are out looks like you got room in there too work. Like those meats on your new machine, bet it walks on water with those floats. Around here most of the big machines are on duals so they straddle the corn rows, we are in a drier climate and probably a different soil type than what you have to work with. Hope you get it screwed back together, harvest will be here before you know it.
