What a beautiful day in Mn.

I went to the family farm to visit my mother and saw my sister there with some of her hot Milf friends they sure liked the Super C Farmall they all got rides have a good evening gents (ladies too).M.S.

Yes it was. cNice cool day. Brought the older boy to camp west of here. Western stearns, todd, and ottertail counties. Boy, some areas are suffering from drought about the same as I was last years. Non irrigated crops looked terrible in areas. Corn not even good enought o chop. Feel bad for them, lot of dairy's and they really need that corn.

We are kinda wet down here, but it is no fun to be burning up, feel for them. Last year was terrible dry, still had good corn, my soils hold water for so long.

Hey, I mentioned to you a few days ago, 2-3 ears on a corn plant isn't such a good thing......

Well walked through 2 of my cornfields, and guess what - 2 ears on many, many of my stalks! :) Guess I need to follow my own advice, bump up my planting rate. Well, hope to go to 30 inch rows next year, still on 38 here.

Thats what I am 38". So how does a guy know which poulation to go with. If your getting 2-3 cobs , do you double the pop or increase it by a certain percentage??

Here in my moisture, supposed to be at 32,000 per acre. That's growing, you figure a few you plant don't make it.

Did that a few years, and had a little lodging pressure with the wide rows - too many plants so close together.

So, I'm planting about 29-30,000. This year mighta got more 28,000 or less - was driving faster because it was getting later with the wet spring. Then I got the 2 big winds and the hail storm - that cut population too.

Those with twin rows or 15 inch rows are playing with 40,000 an acre.

It's an odd year. Just finished my oats, looks like 80 bu an acre. Not bad, with the plowdown, turnip, & field pea mix planted in spring with it. Lot of stuff growing off that small field, hardly room for the oats. :) Wasn't expecting much for oats, typically get 50 bu an acre because it is my 'throwaway' plot.
