Hadn"t seen a horse pull since about 1978, but saw one today at the Iowa State Fair. They use a dead weight sled, loaded with concrete blocks. They have a 15 foot chain attached to the rear of the sled and when the tripod the chain is attached to tips over, that is considered a full pull. Also, the first round, they all pull 1000 pounds more than their team weighs. Second round they pull 2000 more than their team, etc. We got bored at the 5th round, because no one had not completed their pull-after an hour and a half! Greg

seems as tho cowboys would have a problem with that no smoking sign lol but really my boss has those big draft horses here in Ga. but he is from Iowa his last name is Ryan
