O/T obtaining max fuel mileage

Fun read. I bounced around to other parts of Mother Jones News, as well. Gonna put that down as a favorite.

As far as the fella doing the hypermiling was concerned, that seems a little dangerous. Not to mention, what is he costing the other drivers that have to avoid him? I think his rearview mirror would be an exiting place to be...

If you listen to the CB you will get a better understanding of what truckers think about being drafted from. Actually, you also get an idea of what it takes to be a trucker in a land of suicidal "4-wheelers".

Over-the-road trucker is not a job that I could do...

I play around with my MPG some, but I do it on empty roads at 4 am coming home from work. Not on a packed interstate. BTW, if you let out the clutch in gear with the key off, you can repower your brakes. This is on a fuel injected car. If the car was carbureted, I hear the outcome of this stunt can be deafening! (or costly)

That and maintain your car. AAA, TV, auto parts store tell you that, whats the bone head in office did except give it away to the oil companies?
