I have a Ferg. T0 20 (1955) with a Marvel Carb.

I was just reading Step by step Carb Overhaul
which shows a venturi in the Marvel Carb for an
1953 Ford 8n. My carb looks like the one shown
in this write up but does have a venturi in it.
Should it have one???????? If so where can I Buy
one??

I will provide the Mod # of my carb if needed..

Thanks: G.Lyne - [email protected]

I don"t know how your"s could run without the venturi in place! The main nozzle needs to be situated within the venturi flow field to provide the correct fuel/air ratio. Are you sure there is none in your carb? by the way, the TO-20"s were only made thru 1950 I believe and have serial numbers from TO 00001 through TO 60000. The TO-30"s were produced from "51 tthru "54 and their Serial numbers go from TO 60001 to TO 140000. If yours is a 1955 its probably a TO-35.
by the way, most of the ferguson experts hang out in the Ferguson Forum.

Years ago I was an apprentice mechanic for an Allis Chalmers dealer. one of my first jobs was to return a fleet of WD's back to gasoline after having been converted to LP. One ran very poorly and after checking everything over I found the venturi on the work bench. Was a joke on me around the shop.

Thanks for the replies. The old tractor has neever run right since I got it. Have had the
carb apart a number of times and don't ever remeber seeing a venturi in it. (Must be the prob.) Will get the mod. # and see if I can find one. Thanks = G Lyne
I was gussing at the year.
