front bucket hydraulic controller

the control for my front bucket does not operate my bucket anymore. the hydraulic controler has problems going down and curling down. the controler is a steel box with two pistons, and 6 hoses going to it. one of the bottom covers under the pistons leaks when I try to put the bucket down or curl down. Seems like it is building up pressure and the bucket also jerks when it is going down. when I turn the tractor off I still cannot push the one piston down with the control arm, unless I force it and then the cover under one of the piston leaks and the control arms moves freely. any ideas what is the matter with the controler or hydraulics?

Are you saying you have trouble with your control valve? Does it look like this?

Another cause could be a plugged return/ collapsed filter but I doubt that. Pictures of your set-up would help...

Looks similar to that controler but mine only has one handle. I tried to attach 3 photos total, hope the pictures help, I also tried to attached a photo of the bucket attachement model number 770A, keep in mind this is a 79 ford 1700 tractor. Thanks for any help you can give

I also have a small box with 2 hoses coming in and out and something on the side below the controler, any ideas what this is or does?

I am sorry, but your pictures are not coming through. It sounds like you have a pretty complicated setup; complicated in the sense I just am not smart enough to diagnose it without seeing it. The other "small box" you describe can be many different things for instance, such as a priority valve or a relief valve. Your best bet would be to have someone local come by, from the co-op or a road construction crew that is well versed in hydraulics. It can be a very simple repair/component, and from the sounds of your leak you may just need to rebuild your valve- i hope it is something cheap like that for you. Good luck.
