Seen a comment on here the other day about the fuel line from the fuel filter to the injector pump and seen where someone mentioned it was a harmonic fuel line and got to thinking you have got to be kidding! The reason you cannot use a hydraulic hose with crimped fittings is the hole in the fitting is about the size of a match stick and will starve the engine for fuel, it will run fine at reduced speeds and loads but when you are working it hard they will starve for fuel you must replace that line with an original equipment line PERIOD. I gotta go

I'll agree to the fullest with you on that have indeed experience that myself.Fittings on O E hose lot larger passage.

I do not understand your Your reply concerning a hose with a fitting the size of a match stick. If it is a 1/4" hose and fitting then the center should be 1/4" shouldn't it. A 1/8" hose and fitting should have 1/8"ID.

1/4" hydraulic line has 1/4" diameter inside the hose, but when fittings are installed a sleeve is inserted inside the hose to prevent the hose from collapsing when crimped, thus a reducing the diameter for fluid flow at the fitting.
