Hay's cut. Who's coming?

I finished cutting hay tonight after an almost crippling break down. I lost the pulley that is driven off the hydraulic motor that drives the sickle.

I walked the feild or a while before I found it (fell off between one feild and the next while running) right next to a windrow.

The bolt that held it on fell off some time, and the pulley wokred itself off. This was about 7:30 and the hardware store closes at 8:00. Drove home, hopped on the moped and got a bolt, washer, and drive key and put it all back together. Got back in the feild by 8:15 and got the last feild cut.

Way to go! I high centered my tractor tonight on a couple of logs hidden while I was brush cutting. Luckily I had my house moving jack in the van and by jacking up on the top of the wheel rim,was able to get enough blocking under the tires to power off them. A nice young lad next door got me the blocking from his place.Got on it and done by dark. The field owner had told me the logs were there, too.

I would but some of my other friends called and I gotta drive dump truck for them over the weekend. Besides they don't do the small bales and that is a bonus to me 8) Maybe next time though

Be glad to, but am worn out, just finished first crop, second is almost ready. What part of the state are you in? I'm in the NW right in the nose of the Indian.

I'm on the NE side of the state. Kinda figured you're not on our side when you said you were baling hay the other day. It's been raining almost constant since we got our 1st crop off a month ago, and now we have a break to get 2nd off.

Hopefully the rain holds out tomorrow evening, but I greased up the V-rake and parked it out in the field, so it probably will rain.
