Case 930 Experts NEEDED!!!

I just got a 1969 Case 930, Propane.
It has sat outside for over a year, and had water in the engine oil. With the crazy amount we have been getting that doesn't surprise me. It runs great and doesn't lose coolant, so I don't think the engine is cracked any where. The starter doesn't work, so I took it off...there is watery oil in there too??? On the flywheel teeth. Should there be anything in with the clutch???
I turned the starter up side down, and more oil and water came out. It was clear water, so it wasn't coolant. Some one had put silicon around the starter, I am guessing to keep water out?? I am confused on this whole thing and need some answers. Case tractors are new to me, and I don't know where to start!!!

What oil should I put in the engine and tranny??

Is your tractor a 6 speed or 8 some of them had wet clutches there is a drain for that also if it i put a good quality 80w 90 in the transmisson rear end also if the starter had oil in it , u might want to have the seal replaced also make u a gasket out of cork or gasket maker when u put the starter back on

It is not a 1969 if it has a 6 speed tranny. On the 6 speed models, the clutch is wet..i.e it runs in oil...the same oil that is in the engine crankcase. The oil flows through a restrictor in the end of the crankshaft into the clutch housing. When you drain the oil, you must drain both the crankcase and the clutch housing. However, when you put in the new oil you only need to fill the crankcase and the proper amount will soon enter the clutch housing. Be sure to top up the crankcase after running a few minutes. There is a gasket available to seal the starter to the block, eliminating oil leaks at that location. Evidently, the previous owner sustituted caulk for the gasket. There should also be a gasket between the block and the bell housing.

What year would it be then??
Thanks, for the info!!!
What kind of oil should I put in the engine??
Just 10w-30??

If you have the serial number it is possible to tell ( unlike in the '30's,'40's &early '50's, where you could tell directly from the #) by comparing your # to a chart. I may be wrong on this but I believe the last 6 speeds were buil in l966 and were not all sold until late'67. The 6 speed was ender when the western special(932)version of the 8 speed was introduced. The 8 speeds have dry clutches.
