I have an old trailer I use. Bearings went bad in one wheel so am replaceing them. I am having troublr finding the inner grease seal. Does anyone know where to get a seal that will fit? It is 2 7/8 inches across, 3/8 " thick, 1/2" metal lip with the hole in the felt 1 1/2". It has a number 5009 on it but no name to be found.

I would take the old seal to Napa if it were mine...they got plenty of cross reference books and I bet they will find one in their inventory. ohfred

I saw something like that on a 1959 2ton Ford steer axle.I think it was for dirt and had another seal besides that, but its been so long ago Im not sure,I do remember that it was hard to find, and that was in the late 1980s.If you take good measurements to a auto parts place maybe they can match it to something thats not felt.

Thanks for the replies. The trailer was built from the frame of a camping trailer by my late father in law. He built his wood hauler about 1950 and I rebuilt it in 1987. Original bearings and seals until now. Good grease makes things last. I do have NAPA trying to get me the seal. Will try for the 15235CR.
