need help mf3660

Our MF3660 will not start after it gets hot. Have to let it set a hour or so if really hot then it starts and runs fine. Called the dealer and mechanic said he had one just like it in now. Call back in a week or so to see if he found the problem. Changed the fuel solenoid with no improvement. My son thinks the fuel pump is wore and will not start when the fuel is hot and thin. I thought the fuel selenoid was the only electrical part or am I missing something?

Assuming since you have a fuel pump that it is a diesel. Make sure the return line to the tank is clean and not blocked or crimped.

Had a friend with a MF 1100 that would pour ice water on his pump to start if someone shut it off hot. He told me that would ruin a good pump and not to shut it off until the job was done.
