Update on calf

She is now doing fine. I think with this cool spring and summer she hadn't acclimated for warm weather. I also believe she did have a touch of Pneumonia which didn't help her none. As far as her tail, I believe it had been stepped and she got up real quick. Every dog around has had a bad introduction to the electric fence and will not go near the pasture even with the gate open. The tail tip seems to be fine, not looks wise but health wise. Will the switch grow back??? She is my nicest built heifer, am I gonna get docked come sale time because of that tail? If so I may keep her then. I was only gonna keep the solid red shorthorn/Angus cross heifer and sell the rest but maybe I will keep her as well. She is Red Angus cross with a Charlios/Red Angus/Simmental and is solid red as well. Any one near by gonna be looking for some nice red heifers or a solid black heifer some this fall????

Buyers here in the SE take every opportunity they can to dock livestock and a missing tail tip is one. Glad the calf is healthy.

Maybe I can get her some of the weaves or extentions like them Hollywood ladies. I have a 3 year old black angus cross that didnt have a switch when I bought her, she's a nice cow.
