no oil pressure

I guess i need to restate the form of no oil pressure, there is no oil circulation, the oil filter is dry, this is a 1310 ford tractor.
What i did fine was the Oring on the oil pump pickup tube was cut. I will replace the Oring and hopeful i will have oil pressure.

I THINK that if the portion of the pump pick-up tube that has the cut o-ring sits above the oil level in the crankcase you my have solved your lack of oil pressure or more to the point, the inability to catch prime..................

Pump it full of oil with an oilcan before starting it (in the oil pressure pickup line) JimN
