OT/Mounting a rear mount blower on front of JD 1070

I have a friend who has a JD 1070 with a loader, and a 6' rear snow blower. He has back problems, and turning around to blow snow really bothers his back. He has been toying with the idea of mounting it on the front. He can do the fabricating, but is trying to figure out how to run the thing if he tries it. (Hydraulic, PTO/gearbox, etc.) Anybody done such a project?

I see front mount blowers on sales now and again.a long frame bolts underneath the tractor that cradles a driveshaft and a couple gearboxes to drive the blower on the front.

A former neighbor had a IH tractor with a loader on it. He mounted a Hyd. Skid loader blower to the loader arms and put a hyd. pump on the tractor PTO. He had a large tank mounted to the 3pt arms to store extra fluid to keep it from getting to warm and to give weight to the back of the tractor. I worked great for him.
When he moved to Canada he took the rig with him.

The ones I've seen have a long frame that runs back and pins into the drawbar. The front just bolts to the blower and goes into a guide to keep it from going side to side.

Under and to the back a driveshaft runs inside the blower push frame and has a box with pillow block bearings supporting sprockets to get the power from the high mounted tractor pto down to the low mounted driveshaft for the blower.

I don't remember the model. It was a newer one with a cab on it. Rear tires were bigger than the 14.9 X 38 on my MM 302 - in fact the whole tractor was bigger than my 302 Which is about 55 to 60 HP. His must have been 70+ HP. The blower he used was 8 foot wide and the rear tires scraped the banks on the cleared area.
Hope this helps you.
