By this time tomorrow, I'll have 80 acres of hay on the ground ready to be baled.

Anyone wanna come run a hay rake for me?

I gotta get this stuff put up. Lots of cheat grass and it'll blow for sure if the wind comes up. Would sure be nice to follow/bale right smack behind the rake.

Think I'm gonna need a tractor driver!! :>(

Allan,
Love to come help you with the hay but the plane ticket would be a killer.

Allan,

I would like to help as well, but I'm a little far away myself. I'm actually more suprised you haven't constructed some kind of rig for just this kind of situation. I could see something mounted to the front that would hook up the dual rakes just in front of you. Wouldn't that be something! With row that long and straight shouldn't be a problem. =)

I,d head right over to help, but I,m on a hotel computer in Cody Wyo. If you really need me I,ll head back toward Chadron and be there in a week or so.

if dries thatfast forget the raking and just bale like some doin other areas. Yes Iknow makes little more runnign but time wise not much differenct cause you already baling instead of raking. Tahst whatI would do if it drys that fast. Cutting here again tomorrow 2nd round. You want the last rake setting here would throw three in one pass, slick out fit. 10,200.00 cash. Several fellow I also know in the dry areas run rakes mounted ahead of the tractor and bale in same pass. Another fellow pulls the round baler behind his rake for one pass deal. Is the the other fellows field doing on share you mentioned wheres he at.

Believe it or not there is guy not far from me here that has a rig set up like that on a big JD tractor, he has two farris wheel type rakes one on either side of the tractor, and towing two small square balers behind. Must be running balers off of hydro power some how. I have been trying to get a picture of it but haven"t been that way in a while.

Allan, I would but to make it by 5am I would have to drive all nite. Besies,I am retired.

Good luck and be careful
