I found the serial number, its about the PTO on the back of the transmission. Mine is WC1475 Meaning its a 1933. They made 10158 that year so im guessing mine is the second month of production. Sweet!!! I wanted most of my collection to be working tractors, and a couple just to have for collectability. I think i got it too!!!

I took a closer look at it today. The gas tank is rusted through in one spot (looks fixable) and the main tank is solid, although rusty. What can i do about that?? This tractor probabally wont be used as much as the other 2, so im thinking of getting it sealed. How much should that cost??? And, i pulled an IH mag off it today, and noticed it had new hoses and what looked like new spark plugs too, so i guess its been run somewhat recentally. how do you tell what IH mag you have??? Where can i get a carb kit for a tractor like this???

last fuel tank i had cleaned and lined ran around 100 dollars. real nasty super m tank, sat for close to 20 years with half a tank of fuel in it. whoooa did that fuel stink!!!!

Lance if things look that new on it you may luck out and have it pop free pretty easy with just a good tranny fluid soak in the cylinders for a few weeks. Since its a hand start one if you can set the hand crank so you can hang some wheels weights on it that will also help to pop it free.

Well, the B had a new fan belt on it, that looked encouraging. Dont know how that worked, the thing obvisly hadnt been used in years when i got into it. Figures....

I aint got no wheel weights so i guess a cement block will have to work

did they clean it for that too?? that seems pretty good for the WC and the B that needs everything you can think of

Lanse, is the hole big or small. Sand all the way around it and then put several pieces, one bigger than the first, of fiberglass roving or mat on it with EPOXY, I repeat EPOXY resin . Do not use cheap polyester resin. Epoxy is gasoline and water proof. Fill the tank with old nuts and bolts and/or gravel and fasten it to the kubota wheel and drive around a while with it being very careful. Then rinse the tank with lacquer thinner and buy tank coating and from several sources. Apply it the same way. Henry email open

Better have a real heavy cement block LOL. Most wheel weights are around 150lbs each so it would take about 20-30 of them to add up to one wheel weight. Another thing you can do if your careful is take a come-a-long on it and down to the front wheels and pull it down hard but not so hard as to bend the crank handle. I have a 1935 JD-D that is sitting that way right now. I sure wish that D would pop free but so far it hasn't but even when it does it will need a lot of work to get it up and running plus 2 big men just to start it LOL

WC 1475 would be a 1934 model. No way in Hades that they made 10158 in one year- from 1933 to 1948, they made 178202 tractors. An IH mag runs a 35 degree lag angle, vs. 30 degree for the AC, so you want to get the right mag. 35 degree can be set for easy starting or hard running, or hard starting and easy running. Put the AC mag on it. Hoses on a mag? Early carbs on the AC unstyled are not like the Zenith in later years.

Lance the AC data book serial numbers for 1934 started at 29 and ended on 3127. Ending number for total production 178202. As always find a manual before you jump in. Joe

I've had good luck just power washing (at the local car wash) the inside and outside of the gas tank, and then following that with 2-3 rinses of WD-40. Make sure all the rust and dirt are gone.

Then fill it up quick with gas. Add a touch of 2-cycle oil to mix.
