After rebuilding my '39 Allis B, I have water in my oil.So I was going to Take the oil pan off and pressurize the cooling system from the radiator, then look underneath at the sleeves o-rings to see if i can see anything. Is this a good idea? How much pressure should I use? Thanks alot, Troy in Wa.

If it is not leaking too badly, I would first go buy some block sealer at your local autoparts store. It works with water, then you add the coolant back later after treatment. You also may have to temporarily block air flow to the radiator to get the engine to the required temperature during the treatmment. I think those old radiators are rated for 7 psi pressure. If you have to pull the oil pan, you might be able to spread out a piece of cardboard under it over night to target the leak.

Hello troyr.
You should pressurize any cooling system only 10% above the pressure of the radiator cap.
Any more pressure than that and you may damage the cooling system. On a rebuilt I would guess that an oil o'ring has been left out of the head seal kit, just a guess!
