JUst purchased a Ford 7740 but didn't have manual. Would it be better to get the Ford Operator's manual or the I&T service manual?
I&T seems better, but does it have good electrical diagrams or just mechanical stuff?
Opinions appreciated.

Get both-they cover different things. Tractors have 3 manuals available as a general rule. The operators manual tells you how to run the thing and covers the day-to day stuff. The repair (of which the IT manual is one option) manual covers repairing the tractor, and the parts manual shows exploded views of everything, and is very helpful in seeing how things come apart and go back together, but it does not tell you how to do anything. I get one of each for every machine I have.
