Think I Caught It!

Had to wait til 10 o'clock before the moisture was right, so decided to hook up the little dogs and take 'em out and give 'em a romp for a change.

Little feller can only make a 5' bale, but it can sure gobble the stuff. 'Course, I sheared that pickup bolt twice................thing sure fills up in a hurry compared to that 855. :>)

Hay seemed to have turned out pretty good even after being blown all over the country by a strong wind, raked twice and rained on twice. :>(

Looks like there`s plenty of leaves on the hay . And to think you was thinking of crossing over to the other side . I dont think a chainer hurts the hay any worst than a belt baler , sometimes you just have to operate differantly to differant situations . I`ve seen the grindings coming out of the bottom of all of`em .

Looks like feed to me, like TGIN said every baler leaves some leaves and each one has their + and -, your doing it right.

Just wondering, what your baling? Doesn't look like anything we have around here. Kinda stemy but like stated below, better than nothing. Hay is scarce and expensive in our area.

Looks good Allan. Alfalfa hay up here in MN thats been down 8 days, rained on 2X and raked 2X would be just black stems. You have much more to cut?

You reminded me of the old days with the New Holland 68 small sq baler. Every stroke of the plunger the small chaff would drop onto the hay rack wagon hooked on behind. That's one advantage of pulling a wagon rather than dropping them on the field. When the wagon was empty we pushed off the chaff to feed later before taking the wagons back to the field.

Don't you love the smell of an alfalfa field in the morning when the dew is set on it? Some farmers don't think twice about it, but I do.

anymore those chain trailer (stack movers)units in your area vary rare here converted small one to use with small squares works slicvk would like large unit like you have

The smell of fresh cut-baled hay is the best smell in the world. This year its like baling greenbacks, LoL. Hope you have a good yeild!
