My next door neighbour/s asked me if i wanted some wood as they were about to cut some.
Well this is it.
Phase one sort and cut to fireplace lenght!.
Phase 2 take to the wood pile!.
Phase 3 will have to wait when its a bit cooler, 4Th af july weekend is a little warm for this kind of work.

Just finished splitting and stacking the last of 6 cords of hardwood myself. July is NOT the time to be working up firewood, but seeing as there are only three of us (Me, Myself and I) it takes as long as it takes.

It'll feel good in January tho. Especially with $5.00 heating oil...

Hello Fawteen
I just got home this afternnom and there is twice as much in a pile that what i took a picture of.I am like you the three of us( ME MYSELF AND I) will have to take care of the new pile!.
How many BTU'S goes in to the wood before you burn it?. In my case twice as much as i get out of it, but it feel good in January like you said,
