How do you start the mowing blades on a John Deere 316 model

Mowing for neighbor and cant figure out how to start the mowing blades, any help would be great.

There is an electric switch on the dashboard, marked with the international standard symbol for PTO.

What do you do to get the blades lowered and start mowing.

consult with an adult who can show you how to safely operate the mower. there is a lever on the left side that raises and lowers the deck and a lever with an orange knob just to the right of the steering wheel push it up to go foward pull it back to back up

What do you do to start up the blades on a john deere 316. And how do you lower them?

1) ask your neighbor how it works. They dont want you hurt or their mower destroyed
