Hay Cutting Pictures from Northern MN

We cut about 40 acres today between Miss MN and I. I was on an IH 686 with a New Holland 411 Discbine and she was in the New Holland 8360 with a 1411 Discbine. Hope you like 'em!

This is the first field she cut. I was putting knives on the 411, so Miss MN did almost all of it, but I got the backswath!

Here's the equipment out in the distance. A person can't help but hum "Dueling Banjos."

That's me on the 686 starting on the second field.

Nice Pictures! I have a 686 IH as well and really like it. I used it to bale our first hay today. 67 round bales off from 18 acres. Not to bad!

What kind of hay is it? It looks like brome maybe along with reeds canarygrass? Pretty pictures. I guess I fully expected to see a moose standing along the edge.

No meese, but LOTS and LOTS of deer. Haven't a clue what species grass. Don't think there's any reed canary, though.
