Oak doors for kitchen cabinets?

Last year my parents had their kitchen remodeled, hasnt been done since 1986. The old cabinet doors were saved and my dad gave them to me. All doors are in very good condition. (14 doors total)
I am not a cabinet maker but....I wonder what they are worth? Any wood workers out there. All these doors still have the hinges on them too.
My trade is in machining aluminum and steel, not cabinet making.
If you have any idea what these doors are worth then chime in.
 
really hard to say. Are they tops or bottoms? size? not to many cabinets built to fit the doors, usually the other way around. if they are in the way might see if your high school still has a wood shop and donate the wood to them for their small projects or 4-H. Better to see something done with them than cussing at them for being in the way
 
Worth a tax deduction, and that is all. I am a trim carpenter, and stuff like that has no value, except for a tax deduction-donate them to habitat for humanity or the like. Greg
 
Depends. Are The panaled doors with solid 3/4 inch panels? Unpainted? If they are you might be able to sell them for 5 or 6 bucks each in the classified section of the newspaper or some other kind of sales paper. If you do not want to donate them, do you have a shop? They would make great cabanets for you shop. and look good to.
 
What I could do is go to the local HS and see if I can get a responsible kid that needs to make a project, donate them to him and have him make a gun cabinet or something and pay him for it. A friend of mine years ago when he was in HS made a piece of furniture and a woman teacher at the school bought it for $200.
 
In my opinion they really aren't worth much as kitchen sizes and cabinet needs are rarely the same. Building extra for more cabinets or cutting down for a smaller need would or could be tough.

Fitting them on cabinets for a garage, now you're talking.
