Heard on the news last night, they estimate 5 million acres of farm land was flooded. With the latest levee break, that number will go up. Also predicted was an increase in livestock feed prices, etc. James said they failed to mention the most important part - how many folks lost their crops, machinery, homes, livestock, their livelihood. Hope all of ya"ll got through ok.

Macro economics are clinical, Micro economics are personal. I agree, we need to assist as much as possible, thse who have been inundated. We should also take the economic difficulties in a bit broader stride as we take care of our own. It will cost all of us. Jim

Late planting season, weather not cooperating, Higher fuel prices,Higher utility's = Lack of money to replant, lack of time to regrow them = food shortage in different areas for this year. What about next year?? I don't have a bleak outlook cause I know who is on my side!!!
