Case Trip Disk??

Does anyone know about Case making a trip disk? We just got one and it works off the same principal as a trip plow but the gangs on the disk move in and out instead of up and down like the plow? Any info would help!! i.e.(year aprox. Model.etc..)

Hi, I have had one for about 15 years. I like the design of them, not like other disk of the time you dont have to stop at the end of the field pull a rope and back up. You just keep going. I believe there were different versions for the L and C era and then the D and LA era. Last time I used it was behind a 2 row stock chopper and a 1937 C Case. Thats about all I can tell ya about them.

Dad had one he pulled with his CC Case and then with a new WD AC. He got it new in the early to middle 40's Said it was the best cutting disk he ever owned at the time. I pulled it over a lot of acres for him.
