Farmall 400D carburator removal

hello all, im in the process of doing the usual spring mantience on my 400d, the problem is that i just cant seem to firgure out how to get the very last nut off the holds the carb to the intake manifold. all my sockets are too thick and a wrech only turns it an 1/8 and then you cant get on it anyplace to turn it some more. anyone have any tricks to getting the stinker off of there?thanks. jonathan s

buy a chinese wrench and bend the crap out of it to get it where you can use it.

Yep as Rob says. That is the one problem with the Farmall tractors you need a wrench that has a 90 degree on the end to get to the back nut. BTDT and I have one we heated up red hot and bent just for that

What I do to get the back nut off the carb is get it loose with a open end wrench, then use a needle nose vise grip to get it the rest of the way.
