My brother work on tractors locally and some of the things that people do to these machines.420 JD crawler, went through right turning brake replaced band and clutches, bearing had been placed backwards, was shimmed about .080 or .090 put it back right took out most of the shimms. Valve train was not getting oil, stud with oil hole had been swapped, engine bored .100 had .090 piston and rings. Farmall cub, someone had welded the brake drum to the axle instead of fixing the screw that held it. Another cub someone had taken the time to remove the axle housing removed the brake drum and left it out altogether.Wiring nightmares, holes cut into hoods for glass pack mufflers, alternators or access to other parts.

many years ago a fellow with a handfull of gravel trucks had a welder as mechanic. you should have seen that crazy outfit
he welded everything together that had stripped bolts or treads, like wheels to the axles, pumpkins to the axle housing, axle shafts to the drums, even the spare tire was welded to the front bumper.
needles to say,he went belly up.

yeah you are missing the duct tape, electric tape, umm, the nails as codder pins, and the nails used to hold shields on....

Handiest thing is a large box of mixed cotter keys for about $5. Never a reason for a nail and I may not use 5 a year.

They do register torches! Didn't you know about the 'marriage fee' to your propane tanks? See in case of wartime(sic) the us gov't needs to know who has propane in case they need some.

ive seen worse..wooden block you trow under the tire as a break a tractor that you have to got off the seat have someone else get on and shift the linkage with you under the tractor...also have seen a twig broken off in the oil pan of a 656IH to clog a hole that was put in it..bad stuff happens out there
