I was mowing hay and the hydrolics failed on my tractor. The bucket will not lift, the mower will not lift. I see a "twitch" in the hoses when I pull the levers, but no lift or down pressure. None of the tractor places will work on it cause it is a Belaris. So any help is Great.

The only Belarus dealer that I know of anymore is Nagys Tractor in Omer Michigan. You could try calling them to see what they think, 989 653 3173 or maybe you could contact them through their website nagystractor.com

I'll be as gentle as possible, but what ktheol meant was that you bought a brand that is generally considered to be of poor quality (it's Russian- Yikes!), but you probably bought at a low price. The lesson is, if you're going to take advantage of the low purchase price of sub-par equipment, the down side is, you're going to need to come up with a repair manual and be able to work on it yourself. If something seems to good to be true, it probably is.

All that being said, the first step in any hydraulics failure is to check the filter and the condition of the fluid. Because at present it would cost about 50 bucks or more to change hydraulic fluid, pretty safe bet that it hasn't been done in awhile. So see if fluid is milky, and filter is plugged. If either is true, change the fluid and filter, and see if that fixes it. If not, you're going to need to do a test of the pump, for which the procedure should be outlined in the shop manual. First step in finding a manual is to spell the name right- Belarus- so you can effectively Google it. Good luck.

Just for the fun of it, I Googled "Belarus repair manual". Had to duck to keep a manual from hitting me in the head.

I've got a Belaruse 825, I'm not sure how it compares to a 652. As others have said the first thing to check is the filter, mine is in the reservoir. You can get one from NAPA but they may have to order one. The hydraulic pumps are famous for going out but usually they start getting weak. I've never heard of one going out all at once. Good luck

Sudden hydraulic failure? Hyraulic pump gone very quiet? The priority flow valve has got dirt in it, clean it, then change the filter because it is caused by crap in the system.

Sudden, not gradual, loss of hydraulics--look
for some type of coupling failure, such as a
broken shaft on pump drive.

The owner was going to give me the manual but that was a month ago, going to get a new one. Thanks for your help will try thr filter first. As to why I bought it around here a used tractor is hard to find and $$$$$ for garbage. I saw tractors that needed a total engine rebuild and hydro rebuild going for 8,000. This tractor only has 3,000hrs on it for $4500. My Allis 190 has been in the shop from November till now and they still haven;t worked on it. So it was desparation and a good deal now I kind of like the tractor.
