diesel fuel leaking into my oil

I have a Ford 4000 with a 4 cylinder 172 c.i.d. engine. What possibly causes diesel fuel to leak into my oil? Thanks

Most common cause on those is worn out seals on the injector pump. Can also be from a leak on the injector lines or bleed off lines, under the valve cover.

had same trouble on a 6000 and had to rebuild injector pump.Do it soon or motor will be next.

ive never owned a Ford but it happened to me on IHC 806 and it was the seal on the end of the injection pump easy seal to change, i changed mine myself , it still takes an hour to do it.

On that engine, it is normally caused by the return line under the valve cover leaking. Pull the valve cover and run the engine to check.
