Was helping my next door neighbor adjust his tie arms on his 688 NH baler yesterday.
Anyway, he was telling me that with the past few balers he has owned, that he's always taken off the windscreen.
Says the factory folks told him to do it and it increases the capacity of the baler by at least a third. The rep told him that the silly thing just "limits" the throughput of the machine.
Thought that was kind of interesting, as I always thought it was "needed" for a smooth, even feed.
