fuel injection cleaner

A company offers a product called Gumout which cleans the fuel system by hooking up to the vacuum line and sucks it though the injection system . What are your thoughts on this? Does this really help?

Thos ekind of cleaners are "Top end " or Intake cleaners , they can not clean the injectors , other than maybe some carbon off the outside of it , they do work good for intakes and intake valves however . The BEST injector cleaner I have used is the "Motor vac " sytem. Bypass gas tank, hooks into fuel rail , and clean system whil ecar runs . Gm Techtron is good too .

not sure what vacuum line would lead into the injectors??

dealers clean your injectors (allegedly) by hooking bottle of super-expensive-stuff to fuel rail and running it thru the injectors

or you can dump lot cheaper stuff in gas tank and see if that helps

I have been told that 10% alcohol fuel being sold jsut about everywhere now will keep gas tanks and fules systems pretty clean

My diesel injection shop I use also does gas injectors too. I took mine from my 1996 dodge 360 gas to them when it was down for new intake gaskets.
